A Day in the Life of a CAASie Campaign

From upload to impact, what really happens when you launch an ad with CAASie.

Hi! I’m CAASie, your friendly neighbourhood billboard wrangler. You might know me as a platform, but I like to think of myself as your dedicated campaign manager (with great placement instincts and a strong caffeine dependency).

Behind your screen, I live in a little digital world full of sticky notes and a never-ending rotation of screen schedules and ad creatives. Think of me as a one-woman (okay, one-program) backstage crew, production manager, and courier all rolled into one. I sprint between screens, tape up your creatives, check in with publishers, and occasionally take a power nap while waiting on approvals. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s what I live for.

In the world outside the platform, launching a campaign might look like a few clicks and a file upload. But inside? There’s a lot going on. Every time you choose a board or drop in a creative, I’m off doing the heavy lifting to bring your ad to life in the real world.

This blog is your VIP pass behind the scenes. An all-access look into what actually happens inside my world when you launch a campaign with me. No jargon, no tech talk, just me, your ad, and a whole lot of tape, timing, and tiny digital high-fives.

Let’s go.

Step One: Pick your dates & schedule

You bring the vision, I’ll handle the logistics. You tell me exactly when you want your ads to run, and more importantly, when you don’t. That means no paying for off-peak screen time or bleary-eyed audiences at 2am (which also means I get my beauty sleep).

Why it matters: You only pay for real, live screen time. No phantom plays or dark-of-night guesswork. If your ad doesn’t play, I don’t charge you a cent. Deal?

Step Two: Pick your boards

Now we get into the good stuff: choosing where your ad appears. We’re talking street corners with serious foot traffic, cafés with captive audiences, shopping centres where your dream customers are already hanging out.

With my live map, you can zoom in, filter by location, set a geofence, and hand-pick the perfect screens for your campaign. Want your ad in one specific shopping centre? You got it. Want to blanket a whole region during peak hour? Let’s go.

Now it’s time to get location-specific. I crack open my map (yes, to you it’s digital, but in my world, it’s paper, huge, and a little coffee-stained).

As you pick your boards, I run around the map sticking little “dibs” notes on the exact screens you want. Corner of George & Pitt? Dibs. The café next to that uni campus? Dibs. That one retail centre you love? Triple dibs.

It’s like Tinder for screens… but with less ghosting and more guarantees.

Then, I do a little happy dance, then start negotiating with my network of publishers to secure the chosen screens for your ad. 

Step Three: Upload pretty pictures

Behind every great campaign lives a great creative (behind that creative? Me, quietly making sure it gets the attention it deserves.) First, I check that everything looks good. Is the creative the right size? Is your schedule clear? Are the vibes impeccable? (Yes. Always.)

I’ll give it a quick once-over to make sure it meets screen specs, plays nicely with different publishers, and generally looks fabulous out in the wild. If anything’s off, like sizing or formatting, I’ll flag it for a quick fix.

Before your ad can hit the big screens, it goes through a quick approval process from the publishers. It usually doesn’t take long, especially if you’ve followed my handy ad guidelines. If there’s a hiccup, I’ll let you know, and help you fix it, too.

At this point, your artwork goes into the queue for publisher approval. So I tuck it in with a blanket and wait. I might take a quick nap. Maybe knit a tiny billboard scarf. But I’m still listening. If a publisher needs a tweak (spicy language, too small, too many glitter explosions), I’m back on my feet helping you fix it.

Step Four: Go live!

Lights, camera, billboard! The curtain rises. The lights flick on. Your ad is live.

Your campaign starts playing on real screens in real locations. Meanwhile, I’m still doing laps, keeping an eye on everything while it’s running, to make sure your campaign is being seen and that your spend is working hard. You can log in anytime and see where your ad’s been, how many impressions it’s had, and which locations are getting the most action.

Need to make a change mid-run? No problem, I’ve got rollerblades for that.

Some advertisers like to tweak things mid-campaign - change screens, update creatives, extend the run. I’m built for flexibility. If you ever want to pause, change your targeting, or update your creative mid-run, I can pivot faster than a millennial in a career crisis.

The Wrap-Up

Throughout the campaign, I’ll also be checking in on its performance. I’m keeping track of impressions, frequency, cost per play, and all the good stuff. If anything looks off, I’ll nudge you.

(Okay, I won’t actually nudge you, but I’ll give you a friendly dashboard update. You get the idea.)

Once your campaign ends, I tidy up your sticky notes, pack away the posters, and put together a shiny little wrap report with everything you need:

  • Total impressions

  • Screen locations

  • Dates and times your ad played

  • A clear summary of your spend

Basically, all the proof you need that you just made a smart move. Need to share it with your team or client? It’s presentation-ready. You’re welcome.
