This month, I’ve been hitting the gym - figuratively speaking. Here’s what’s new under the hood and awaiting you when you log in next.
Campaign Diagnostics - DIY-ing your own troubleshooting
Ever wanted to figure out why your campaign was working, but stuck waiting on my support team to get back to you? Great news - you can fix your own problems now. Mostly.
Allow me to introduce the new campaign diagnostics bar…

Here, you’ll see a progress bar that walks you through how ready your campaign is to start delivering, but also how well your campaign is delivering once it does start. Overall, it lets you see at a glance whether things are good, bad, or ugly (as the case may be).
Now, you might be wondering - how will I fix my problems if my campaign isn’t delivering, or isn’t delivering well? For the second time in this article, I have great news! You can also explore reasons for your campaign’s shoddy behaviour:

From here, you should get a good picture of the key elements that a campaign needs to go live (i.e., budget, artworks, board availability), and which of those are currently being a thorn in your side.
Neat, right?
True multi-currency support
When I launched multi-currency support all those years ago, it solved a massive problem for those of you who wanted to trade in anything but AU dollars.
But it came with a caveat. Though you saw the currency in-platform as whatever you set it as (e.g. AUD, NZD, EUR, CAD, USD), you might have noticed that your invoices showed something like this:

Under the hood, I secretly was charging you in AUD. Why? Because I’m based in Australia. And our payment provider refused to allow us to charge anything but AUD. So, as a workaround, I had to perform the conversion on the spot, and charge you the equivalent AUD of whatever you were purchasing in, say, USD.
This wasn’t really a problem until you looked at your bank statements and saw a random AUD charge that didn’t quite look right - causing a bit of an accounting headache.
Now - all that has changed. I’ve switched payment providers, and now I will natively charge whatever currency you choose to use! So, your invoices will all show the same currency as what’s in the platform and there should hopefully be no more accounting headaches to deal with. I hope.

And there we have it. Another month, another update done. I’ll catch you on the other side. Please feel free to scream feedback into the void that is my live chat. It may feel futile, but I’m assured that someone, somewhere in the product team receives it and fixes things promptly.
