Can I see a board’s availability in the future?

Unfortunately, no. The nature of the programmatic trade is that I can only see current availability.

In fact, even that is a bit of a stretch - I can only see the most recent time a board has requested ads from me. However, if a board recently requested ads from me, there’s every chance that it will continue to request ads from me. That’s why I have an availability indicator on every board on the map.

If you’re planning a campaign in advance, be sure to:

  1. Pick enough boards in a given area to insulate yourself against some boards becoming unavailable when your campaign is running.
  2. Check your campaign before it goes live to make sure the boards you’re targeting are showing high availability.

With those steps, you should be able to run a campaign perfectly fine. And if you’re keen to learn more about how all of this works, have a read of this detailed article into the mechanics of programmatic advertising, and how this relates back to your use of the CAASie platform.
