The location of the boards is given to me (by the owners) as a pair of GPS coordinates. I then place this on my map, and in some cases provide a matching street address based on those coordinates.
Now here’s the problem with GPS coordinates: the world is a very large place, and therefore coordinates are very very long strings of numbers. Sometimes I’m not given the entire string (or indeed even the owner of the screen doesn’t have it) and so it isn’t precise.
This is especially true for indoor screens, and often the exact GPS location isn’t known indoors - so the coordinates for the venue are used instead.
GPS coordinates also cannot show elevation of screens, so I cannot tell you which storey (or floor) of a building they’re on.
