This tutorial covers the step-by-step process of setting up a digital advertising campaign on CAASie, from creating the campaign and selecting digital screens (boards) to managing budgets, scheduling ads, and uploading artwork. It explains how to:
• Name and configure your campaign.
• Choose specific boards or target locations on a map.
• Apply filters to refine board types and set budget limits.
• Schedule ad times for specific hours or continuous play.
• Upload and manage artwork requirements.
The tutorial also walks through monitoring and adjusting campaign settings on the dashboard, including budget, schedule, artwork, and board selections, making it easy to control your ad’s visibility and impact.
0:02 - Creating and running a campaign on CAASie is pretty straightforward. When you’re on your dashboard, click on “New Campaign,” give it a name, let’s call it Digest Test, save, and continue.
0:13 - I’ve got an agency account, so it gets me to pick a client. If you have an advertiser account, this step will not be available for you.
0:20 - When I click the client, it gives me details on what sort of credit is left in the wallet, the number of active campaigns, and the credits consumed during the past 24 hours.
0:39 - I’m going to save and continue. It gives me the option to either hand-select my boards or bulk-select my boards. In this instance, I’m just going to click on hand-select and save and continue.
0:51 - Since I’m based in Brisbane, it’s going to drop me into Brisbane. I can zoom into the area I need to target.
1:00 - I can select boards from the panel on the left, add them to my cart, or, if I know a particular area I’m targeting, I might use the polygon tool to select the screens within that area.
1:18 - I’ve added about 11 boards, so I’m going to save and continue. It gives me the option to pick my date range. I’m going to start on the 16th of December, and I won’t set a finish date, running it as an ongoing campaign. I’ll set an hourly budget.
1:39 - I’ll run my campaign as an ongoing campaign. I’ll pick a schedule between, say, 7 and 9, Monday to Friday. I might also add a slot in the evening between 5 and 6.
1:55 - I’d like to set an hourly budget. I can get CAASie to suggest one for me. So I’ll click “Suggest Hourly Pacing.”
2:03 - It tells me I’ve got a target of about $20 an hour. If I feel that’s suitable, I can accept it.
2:17 - Looking at the right, I can see that every day I’ll get about 240 ad plays, 1,000 to 2,000 people reached, and 50 minutes of airtime.
2:29 - If I want more ad plays, I can increase my budget to $30, which pushes the number of ad plays to 310.
2:37 - I can also set a spending limit, for example, stopping the campaign once it hits $1,000, or I can leave it as unlimited.
2:51 - The campaign will run as long as there’s credit in my wallet. I’ll save and continue. If I have the artwork ready, I can upload it now.
3:01 - If I don’t have the artwork, I can click “No” and download the resolution specs so my designer can create the artwork to upload later.
3:10 - Save and continue. It gives me a summary of my campaign setup.
3:18 - It shows the times I’ve picked, the number of boards selected, and the hourly pacing set for my campaign.
3:26 - It also provides projected results for the campaign. Save and continue, and that’s it—the campaign is ready.
3:36 - It will take you back to your campaign dashboard, where you can upload the artwork once it’s ready.
