This tutorial covers the step-by-step process of setting up a digital advertising campaign on CAASie, from creating the campaign and selecting digital screens (boards) to managing budgets, scheduling ads, and uploading artwork. It explains how to:
• Name and configure your campaign.
• Choose specific boards or target locations on a map.
• Apply filters to refine board types and set budget limits.
• Schedule ad times for specific hours or continuous play.
• Upload and manage artwork requirements.
The tutorial also walks through monitoring and adjusting campaign settings on the dashboard, including budget, schedule, artwork, and board selections, making it easy to control your ad’s visibility and impact.
0:00 - Setting up a campaign on CAASie is simple. Start by clicking the “New Campaign” button on your dashboard.
0:08 - Give your campaign a name. You can change this later from the dashboard if needed. Save and continue.
0:16 - You have the option to enable Teams functionality, allowing a specific team to manage your campaign. Save and continue.
0:35 - Choose between an ongoing campaign (like Facebook ads, with an hourly or daily budget) or a short-duration campaign, which can run for any period from two days to two months.
0:53 - For this example, we’ll use an ongoing campaign for simplicity. Save and continue.
1:02 - You can either hand-select boards or set a target location. Hand-selecting lets you pick specific boards; with target location, you can target all screens within a set radius around a chosen address.
1:35 - Choosing “hand-select boards” lets you focus on a specific area. For example, if you’re in Brisbane and looking at Acacia Ridge, all screens in that area will appear on the map. Clicking on any screen provides details like availability and cost per ad play.
2:21 - Each board displays its ad specs (e.g., 1920x1080 pixels, supports video and static images in .jpg and .png formats). You can add boards to your selection.
2:48 - Use the filter to view specific board types. For example, select “Billboards” to show only billboards on the map.
3:14 - Some areas may have additional boards in neighboring suburbs, which you can also add to your campaign.
3:40 - You can use the polygon tool to select an entire area, automatically adding all screens within it to your campaign.
3:56 - Currently, with about 11 boards selected, it estimates a budget of $61 per hour for one ad every 8-10 minutes.
4:09 - Set a schedule for your campaign. By default, it runs 24/7 if the boards are active. Or, choose a custom schedule to target specific times, like morning commutes or evening rush hours.
4:58 - Next, choose an hourly or daily budget. An hourly budget of $61 might get one ad every 8-10 minutes, but increasing it to $100 per hour will yield more ad plays if space is available.
5:30 - Set a budget cap if desired. For example, a $500 cap will stop the campaign after spending that amount. Alternatively, use “No Limit” for ongoing ads, depending on account balance.
6:10 - Enable auto top-up for continuous play until manually stopped. You can stop the campaign at any time.
6:27 - Here’s where you upload artwork. Nine different resolutions are required, but if you don’t have them ready, you can continue setting up and return to upload later. Download the specs to share with a designer, then use the bulk uploader when ready.
7:34 - Finally, you’ll be directed to your campaign dashboard, where you can modify every setting. Note that the campaign will remain inactive until you click “Play.”
7:57 - Drag and drop your artwork into the uploader. After uploading, CAASie’s team will review it before sending it to media owners. Once approved, your campaign will go live.
8:16 - While the campaign is live, you can pause or resume, adjust spend, change schedules, update artwork, add or remove boards, or rename the campaign from the miscellaneous tab.
