Welcome to the November update of me, where I, like Christmas lighting, rise from the closet a little too early and too enthusiastically for most sane individuals’ tastes.
There are a few small but powerful changes that make me a whole new me.
Don't be afraid. Scroll on.
Share a proposal or dashboard with a friend
Share a Live Campaign Proposal
Have you ever wanted to tell a client (or, maybe a friend) what you’ve been planning on CAASie? Traditionally - you’d have to download a spreadsheet of boards selected from your draft campaign and try to piece together everything with spreadsheets and screenshots. All in all, boring, tedious stuff.
Now, I’ve got a live proposal link that you can share instead. So, not only do you not have to deal with spreadsheets anymore, it’s also live. So, any change you make to the campaign is reflected in the proposal.
All you have to do is enable sharing from either a draft campaign’s Summary screen, or from a published campaign’s dashboard and opt to share the campaign.
Share a Live, Read-Only Dashboard
When you’re in a published campaign, you might notice that there are two options when you go to share a campaign. You’re firstly given the option to share a live campaign dashboard instead of sharing a proposal.
This option is a little different to the proposal share in that it’s designed for you to be able to share the results of a campaign rather than sharing the proposed structure of the campaign. In this case, the viewer will see things like (but not limited to); play counts, funky graphs, spend rates, and so on. Y’know, the juicy bits.
Agencies - invite users into client organisations
Some users with Agency accounts have wanted to go a little bit further than the look-but-don’t-touch approach of sharing dashboards with their clients. No - what they want is a way for clients to get their hands dirty with campaigning. Power to you, I suppose.
But wait, if you invite a client into your agency account, won’t they have access to all your other clients’ data? Well you see - this is where my new update comes in.
Now, you can create a client organisation and invite a user into that specific client organisation. Why is this great? Because any user invited into that client organisation of yours can only see the data and campaigns that belong to them. That way, they can log in and play around to their hearts’ content but you’ll be able to have ultimate control over what they’re allowed (and not allowed) to do.
Here's a quick view of what this looks like from your Client table.
Navigating into the 'blah' client organisation, and scrolling down under 'General Stuff', you'll find the usual place where you add users to your own account (which you might already be familiar with). You can add users here and set their permissions which defines what they're allowed to do within the client account 'Blah'.
A helping hand (in the form of videos)
A new feature you may notice but not necessarily care about will be seen all throughout the app. You see, my team members have been frantically working to produce ‘how-to’ videos that run you through the challenging parts of using me.
So, if you see one of these things - click onto it. Watch the video. Be enlightened.
Improved projections & budget warnings
Many of you have taken the “no minimum spends” thing a little too literally. Just because you can spend as little as you like doesn’t mean you should. But that does bring up a valid question - how much should you spend, ideally?
Well the update to my budget section throws a warning now if I believe you’re getting a very low number of ad plays for your budget.
And that’s all from me for another few months. Ciao.
